Left Foot Forward’s Progressive PBR Live 2009

Join us from 12 noon on Wednesday 9th December for our live coverage of Alistair Darling’s Pre-Budget Report. We’ll be hosting a discussion on the key points as they’re announced, with guest commentators from across the progressive economic community, including the TUC’s ToUChstone blog team, Rachel Reeves, and Howard Reed.

You’ll be able to have your say directly on the issues, by adding comments to the live event hosted here on our site, or by contributing via Twitter. Address your tweets to @leftfootfwd – we’ll be looking out for your contributions to bring into the live debate.

Leave your email address here if you’d like a reminder for the live event (we’ll not be using email addresses for any purpose other than to send the reminder).

  4. Mark Burton says:

The trouble with the PBR is that the details matter, not the headlines. The speech will be written to generate crowd-pleasing headlines but deep analysis matters more than live-blogging. So keep your eyes open. For example we remember how the Daily Mail and backbenchers roared with approval when the basic rate of income tax was cut but behind this stunt came the 10p tax rate fiasco.
