I am also concerned about the number of ‘secret microphone’ stings around these days. Whilst not condoning what has been said in these cases, I think there’s an issue there. I heard somewhere that Lord Triesman was secretly recorded by his former aid because of some ‘kiss and tell’ story, and I fear the possible impact on England’s world cup bid.

This needs to be looked at very carefully.

And I would be interested to see how this plays out given that part of Cameron’s team includes Mr Coulson who has a history of presiding over phone-tapping inside the News of the World.
