I do not think they need bother to try and get me back, what we have here is a labour government which has lost it’s way. It became a Thatcherite government with a Thatcherite leader in Blair, who threw a few crumbs to keep the stupid poor at bay and the working class.

Now we had Brown so inept it was shocking, he even had the nerve to call a voter a bigot when this dip shit had the nerve to steal from the BNP British Jobs for British people.

The fact is everyone of the morons now standing for the leadership except Abbott voted for the war, or voter for welfare reforms, or voted for ID cards or voted for the DNA data base.

I have little left to offer labour except I hope you spent the rest of my life in opposition

Demos’ idea of enlivening debate from the outside seems sensible enough, but Hazel Blears? She’s precisely the kind of intellectually discredited, morally bankrupt (ie found out badly in the expenses scandal) Labour should be very publicly leaving far, far behind.

How about a hustings with voters who deserted Labour for Lib Dems over opposition to Iraq, a healthy distaste for torture, belief in civil liberties etc.? It would give the candidates some practice at trying to convince progressive opinion.
